Congratulations! Your Paper has been accepted for presentation and will be included in the proceedings of the 70th Highway Geology Symposium.

Please note that a paper is required, and registration is required for presenters. Early registration has started, and you can register here: PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION .

In order to ensure uniformity of all papers within the symposium proceedings, the 70th HGS Paper Style Guide should be followed, and can be downloaded here: 70th HGS Paper Style Guide

Final papers should be 20 pages or less. Papers will be included in the symposium proceedings, which will be in electronic format only. There have been some changes to due dates since confirmation emails have gone out.

Critical Dates For Authors:

  • July 7, 2019 – An electronic copy of your paper must be uploaded before July 7th in order to be reviewed.
  • August 5, 2019 – Any comments or edits proposed by the review committee will be received by authors before this date.
  • August 19, 2019 – Final revisions need to be uploaded to our site.
  • September 16, 2019 – Presentations should be uploaded to our site

A schedule designating the time for your presentation will be sent out as soon as the symposium schedule is finalized. Presentation slots will be 20 minutes and your presentation prepared no longer than 18 – 19 minutes in length so we can upload the next presentation.

To ensure that your power point presentation plays properly, we ask that all presentations be turned in to us by September 16, 2019 .

The video team will load the presentations of all the participants onto their computer and test them. If you’re planning to embed a video into the power point presentation, it is best to create a Presentation folder. Copy all the videos and the power point file to the Presentation folder.

Please use the following link to upload your paper and presentation to our OwnCloud account: PAPER and PRESENTATION UPLOAD

Once you open the link, click the upload button (with an up arrow), and select the file on your computer to upload. Please email us at info@highwaygeologysymposium.org if you should have any problems.

Your paper and presentation will help to make this symposium a success. Thank you for your participation and your support.
